Holiday Gift Guide for Dog Lovers
Would you like to wow your dog loving friend with an amazing gift, but aren’t sure where to start? Or, are you looking for a special gift to spoil your best friend? Then, read on! From inexpensive essentials like the world’s best dog collar, to a luxury dog beds with a ten year guarantee, this is the list for you!
There’s not much better than a cuddling on the sofa with a clean dog. Below are three tools you can use to ensure a squeaky clean smooch with your pooch.
TrueBlue Natural Balance Conditioning Shampoo
I found this shampoo years ago on costco.com, and my dogs have never had softer fur! Now, it’s the only shampoo I use!!
These are excellent rubber brushes for removing dirt and loose fur while working the TrueBlue up into a good lather. And if your dog happens to roll in something vile while out on a walk, this rubber brush will also save your hands from direct contact.
Furminator Deshedding Tool
This brush removes so much fur from my dogs that I have to use it outside! When I’m done, Quincy actually looks thinner! My only caution is, don’t press too hard. The blades are sharp and can irritate the skin!
RC Pet Products Dog Collar
A dog can never have too many collars! My favorites are from RC Pet Products. The colors stay vibrant through multiple washes, they’re easy to get on and off, and cost less than $15.00!
I love this ball! It’s bigger than a tennis ball, plus it’s soft and squishy. It’s surface is uneven, so my dogs can’t anticipate where it will bounce and have to work hard to retrieve it. In addition, the Huckama has holes, so if your dog doesn’t like to retrieve, you can fill it with treats! Then, let your dog roll it around on the ground for an active snack!
Ruffwear Bivy Collapsible Dish
I love this dish because it collapses flat for easy transport, but still holds a lot of water. I keep it in my car, pop it out and fill it with water at dog training, or throw it in my backpack when I go on a hike to make sure my pups are well hydrated.
True Dog Lover’s Key Ring
So, this keychain is a little gross. But, if you have a dog you get used to gross! Every time I use it I giggle…how can you not?
Sixtrees USA Dog Wood Expression Frame
Giving a dog lover a framed photo of their dog is always a win. This frame is one of my favorites.
Underwater Dogs Calendar
I bought this calendar a few years ago, and loved every month. It’s filled with huge, crystal clear photos of dogs, well, underwater.
It’s really hard to buy safe chewies. Chewies from China might poison your dog. A bully stick might tear your dog’s stomach. A deer antler might crack a tooth. So far, the best solution I’ve found is…
I have Kongs in three different sizes. If my dog is plump, I fill it with pumpkin and freeze it for a low calorie treat. If my dog went on a five mile hike and can take the extra calories, I fill it with peanut butter and freeze it! The dogs chew on it for a good thirty minutes and always lick it clean!
Finally, for the dog that has everything…
Big Barker Dog Bed
I just ordered this in large, with a headrest. It has great reviews and a ten year guarantee against flattening! So far, the customer service has been excellent! They were quick to respond to emails, and sent me lots of updates including an unboxing video. Plus, I ordered the bed on a Tuesday and it arrived by Friday!
Kinsey doesn’t get to open it until Christmas, so you’ll have to wait for my full review!
There you have it! A gift guide for the dog lover, or dog, in your life!
Kinsey, Quincy, Sherlock, Everly and I wish you the merriest of holidays!
